The Church urges that infants be baptized without delay; baptism should ordinarily take place within the first month. The baptismal name is to be taken from a saint, providing the child with a heavenly patron. Letters of good standing must be obtained from the pastor of each godparent’s parish before the baptism.

Classes for children typically start in January of each year. Children must turn age 7 by the time the Sacrament is received in mid-May. 

Classes for Confirmation occur annually. Please contact the Parish Office for more information.  

Couples preparing for marriage meet with a priest for a minimum of six months prior to the wedding date, allowing time for instruction, discernment, and completion of the required preparation. 

Contact the pastor immediately when a parishioner is gravely ill or near death so that the sacraments (Confession, Extreme Unction, and Viaticum) may be administered. Contact the pastor to make all funeral arrangements.

Adults seeking to enter the Church receive 6–12 months of instruction with a priest, covering the fundamentals of the Catholic faith and preparation for the sacraments.
